Dr. Simon Schama is a well-known historian in the UK, by the way...I think he presented the series 'A History of Britain' which I've always been interested in watching but never got round to doing so...
This utterly takes the mickey out of cliched demonstrative devices used so quite often in history documentaries...XD

Date: 2009-08-11 02:16 pm (UTC)It's funny, isn't it? I'm a big fan of Dr Schama but Jon Culshaw's impression is just right. There was also another sketch where he tried to do the whole Edwardian period with just a potato (a "King Edward", ha ha) and one with Schama and Rolf Harris as the "Power of Art Rangers" :)
