THANK YOU, GOD (or whatever/whoever almighty being is up there)! I'M IN FOR DURHAM!!!!
*jumps around like a madwoman*
Ha, so now I can legitimately say I'm a member of the uni and University College...=D
And I can't believe what I did in the early hours of the morning before falling asleep round 6/7am and waking up at 10.20am...I actually watched a 3 hour long DVD of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni' just because it's got Sir Thomas Allen playing Don Giovanni in it...gosh, and this coming from a person who not too long ago hated opera...O____O
I think I'm becoming toooooo much of a fan of Thomas Allen...haha...I even wanted to BUY OPERA CDs just because he's in them...
Ooooh...and I think I might be in the SCMP tomorrow and some other Chinese newspapers because the lady who was handing out the results suddenly randomly showed them first to a woman beside her before giving them to me when I wanted to collect them. Then the woman told me to stay behind and stand around for a photo 'because they wanted to get a picture of those got the best results'...and I think in my total happiness I said I got 4As instead of 3 (I forgot that GS wasn't an A2 level)...oops...I only realised AFTER they finished... *slams head on desk*
But screw that...it's my day to be as happy/stupid as I want...

Results...
ECOBUS - A
Like last year, Ecobus managed to be my best subject (in terms of overall/accumulated points) AGAIN...AND this time it was even higher than last year O__O...290/300 for A2 Level and 278/300 for AS Level...WTF...and I seriously have no idea how the effing hell did I get full marks on the sypnotic paper this year when I didn't really finish it since I was scrambling for time in the last 10 - 15 minutes of the exam. (They probably gave me someone else's marks! XDD)
ENGLISH - A
Surprisingly, English turned out to be my weaker subject out of the three A levels (it was one point better at A2 level than AS Level overall)...and I've noticed that I've never got over 100 in the 120 mark papers in English but no biggie, I'm happy with my A. =)
HISTORY - A
This was the subject I was stressing out about all summer since I was certain that I totally screwed up my last Cold War sypnotic paper due to scary blank state of mind mid-exam and lack of ideas to answer the big 40 mark essay question. And to my relief and surprise, I ended up getting 114/120 for the sypnotic paper (EXACTLY the same mark I got for my AS Henry Tudor paper when I resat it last June)...you cannot imagine how happy I was. I was seriously contemplating prostrating myself on the floor in relief. *grins* Plus I somehow got full marks for coursework (something that hasn't happened since GCSE History when I was one mark away from full marks for coursework) so that only made me even more ecstatic. Overall, A2 was 286/300 while AS was 272/300...and therefore History turned out to be my second best subject in terms of overall points.
GENERAL STUDIES - A
Overall, yeah, it's an A...but only just at 243/300 XDDDDDDD
That's because I got a C in the second paper about science, etc...(mostly because I simply wasn't bothered to revise, lol) and who cares since the unis certainly don't...hahahaha

Date: 2008-08-15 09:26 pm (UTC)But seeing your grades compared to mine AND the fact that you took more subjects (not to mention waaaay harder ones than mine...seriously, there is no way in the world that I can even get a D in A level maths or physics), you really deserve to be congratulated more than me. =D
Well done, Reg! You are going to UCL (and therefore do not have to worry about that whole Leicester and Sydney business as well as seeing Mr Campion, lol)!!!

Gah, now I have to worry about uni preparations, etc! We'll all have dinner and celebrate next week, yeah (although I'm not free on Monday due to me having to teach another student and going to a Durham pre-departure meeting)?
