My first go at GIMP photomanipulation...

Well, after several clueless moments reading a tutorial on the net and making sense of abstract things like layers, alpha colours, brushes, etc... I finally made a Photoshop like manipulation of a Sherlock Holmes screencap...

So I'm pretty satisfied with the result...being the clueless Photoshop/GIMP novice that I am...

Hahahaha...and I was only able to finish this at 6.40 am on a Sunday morning when I should have been finishing off my Ecobus and History coursework...

EDIT: It's now 8:05pm and I've made a couple of things since my first attempt at GIMP...(and the coursework situation isn't resolved yet but I'm working on it. Thank goodness History is due on Wednesday...although I better let Ms Mathieson have a final look at it before I submit it for good...and Ecobus, I just have to add a short section with graphs and stats and explain them. No biggie...lol.)

Hahahaha...I will...well, I'll have to anyway. But I've made a couple of more things since my first attempt...like one very complicated desktop from another tutorial (basically copied off the example, lol) and an avatar or two. Okay, I better shut up now and stop babbling and do my work or I'm screwed...oooh, did you get your report, btw? Mine hasn't changed much from last time, although GS was pretty weird...apparently they gave me an attainment grade of A and my target grade is a B...O___o

So...basically, they want me to get B instead of A?!

Christy you should make more icons in the future =D you can become famous LOL! i gotta work too cause the *cough*headgirl*cough* is chasing me up on work that i was supposed to have finished 2 days ago =( o my grades actually looked the same but a little better actually =p but still bad =/ oooooo same for me in GS! I think it's more cause they know scientific horizon is hard...well it actually is, even my bs couldn't save me this time...not that i could bs in the first place anyways lol.

Hahahaha...I see you like the icons. Yeah, maybe I'll make more later when I really have the right time (and not during a time when I'm supposed to do work...but you know me, I never manage to do that! XD) I'll even do any requests if you like but I'm still getting the hang of it, lol.

It's good that your report got a little better...and come on, you've still got a couple of weeks to prove yourself that you can ace your subjects or at least, do your best. And GS...BS is certainly out of the question now although I think I'll still do it anyway and end up screwing everything up. I'm so bad at science...and they say the culture paper is harder than the scientific one...I wonder, especially with the equations we have to apparently give. =(
