HAHAHAHAHA...I just realised that I missed the course selection period for 2nd years...
Well, I might be laughing now but I was swearing for quite a while upon realising it, lol.
Gah, I was about to do it at the beginning of August but no, they didn't open the system until a week later...and then by that time, I forgot about it. WTF. *smacks head*
So, I guess I have another belated start to my academic year by not actually being able to register for courses officially until 1 Sep when thankfully the add-drop period starts for the first term.
And the history courses for the first term are really...lacking. And why do all the interesting ones happen in the second semester?! E.g. Germany and the Cold War and War and Medicine in Europe? The first is full of stuff about China (gah, I had enough of Chinese history last year and that was a disaster...). So first term options include the US in the 20th Century (which I'll probably do) while I have no idea how to decide between food culture from the 19th Century onwards (which sounds boring) and The rise of Imperial Japan (which is admittedly slightly more interesting but not that fantastic either). Or do I do all three...which means 3 history lectures in a row for 3 days...
Right, I'm off to just see what European Studies offers...
