Aug. 5th, 2008 02:35 amDurham sent me another letter today...talking about almost exactly the same of sort of stuff that UCAS sent about the clearing, the procedures they will do on Results Day, etc and the fact that they will automatically get the results if I do one of the many upon many different exams upon the attached list. It's nice that they actually have a site online that will tell me [as well as the rest of those who got offers] on Thursday, 14th August whether they've confirmed my place or not...they even gave the exact time...11.00 am. Now, if only I can remember the way I figured the times over there in England relative to over here when my mum visited London all those years ago. I know that if I add 4 hours to the time we're getting over here in HK and reverse whatever time of day it is e.g. if it's evening over here, it must be like afternoon/morning over there. (I know that relative to HK, UK time is slow)...so 11.00 am UK time on 14th August means...*calculates frantically*...3.00 am HK time on 15th August? *fails* I always knew I was crappy at maths and still obviously am. -___-
Also, the funny thing was that the letter from Durham [which naturally was supposed to be sent from the place of origin] was sent via Belgian mail...WTF? Thank God I can read French since I was really confused/puzzled when I saw 'Belgique/Belge' on the post mark and the French version of 'In case of non-delivery, please send it back to P.O Box, etc, etc, BRUSSELS AIRPORT" WTFx10000...(and being the history freak I am, I noted that Wellington fought the Battle of Waterloo to stop Napoleon from entering Brussels...*sad*) Hmm...maybe the sender (the Head of Undergraduate Admissions) was on holiday in Belgium or something is definitely, utterly wrong with the Royal Mail over there in the UK when a letter from England has to be sent overseas via another country's postal service. O__o
Oh, and Edexcel STILL hasn't sent me my bloody username and password for the ResultsPlus service...
