It was raining...no, correction, pouring today and this was not the best of weather suitable for an Awards Ceremony but everyone managed to come through fortunately. Had to wear those very painful heels I wore for graduation but thankfully I didn't get any blisters this time (maybe my feet got used to it or something after the complete agony I put them in last time, lol). Mr Wray was amusing when he gave me my two awards and said as he was shaking my hand: 'Congratulations again, Christy.' Lol, well, he has seen me during each and every Awards Ceremony since Year 10 so I guess he'll be used to me by now...XD. Grr...but our camera broke. Thankfully it broke after the ceremony had finished. Well, specifically the camera isn't broken but the screen is messed up for some reason...the screen flickers like crazy, with the top quarter of the image now randomly transferred to the bottom of the screen so that the picture is seemingly split in the near middle when it's turned on and then for some unknown reason, the screen fades away into random whiteness...WTF...and my mum swears that she didn't drop it. I believe her since she's not known to be a klutz like I am...XD...but it's soooo weird. And the warranty's finished...better and better, lol. Anyways, we need a new camera anyway...but it's still not nice to have something broken.

Gah, still need to revise A LOT. But my mum keeps on dragging me to places because she needs me to help her out and I never find enough time to revise productively (or I get distracted and not do any work...=/) and then I have every Saturday filled in from about 2.30 to 5 due to my teaching that Year 8...grr...must wake up earlier and find time to revise. Also note to self that this coming week MUST be used FULLY for revision (or I am v.v.v. screwed.)

But this Saturday, i.e. tomorrow, I'll gladly put down my books and take the opportunity of immersing myself in Shakespeare and classical music. at the HK Cultural Centre in TST. Samuel West, a British actor who has starred in films like Howards End (with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson), Notting Hill and The Phantom of the Opera is joining forces with the HK Philharmonic on the 30th/31st May to give a rendition of Shakespeare's Henry V interspersed with the film music from Laurence Olivier's film of the same name made in 1944. Basically, he'll recite famous parts of the play, narrating us through it while the music provides the backdrop and musical scenery, both his voice and the music combined to make us imagine the scenes themselves unfolding before us. I've heard of this sort of thing before with Christopher Plummer (Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music) on internet links and recordings but never live so this is going to be a real treat. So excited. =)

And then I seriously have to get back to revising....
