English, English, English...

Gah...there are times when I don't like English...especially when the commentaries/textual analysis becomes such a tedious experience sometimes (plus the fact that my assigned 'study buddy' is the one person I detest...and that just gave everyone the excuse to suppress chortles and laughter when they realised who I was assigned with... -___________-;;)

Yeah, that sounds like heresy to some people but maybe that's the reason why I didn't choose English as my uni subject. History seems to always hold something interesting for me no matter how boring it can sometimes get but I always manage to get it done...and usually very well. I have this horrible fear of struggling with uni History assignments...I mean last year I just managed to scrape an A in my Mussolini paper -- and that was scary. Well, I just have to get my arse off my chair and get moving and working, I suppose...I certainly know that I'm not doing my ultimate best just yet and I sure as hell wanna do that. I'm soooo obsessed with Durham that I've actually listed myself as a member of University College on my facebook profile...as well as joining the Durham University Incoming Freshers 08-09 and the Castle Freshers 08-09 groups...XD And I haven't even done the exams yet! Lol.

Was walking around Victoria Park yesterday and my mum stopped me at this random tree and pointed out the single yellow flower that grew amongst the greenery. She said it was amazing that that single flower was strong enough to grow and stand on its own and somehow related it to my being prematurely born and exceeding expectations when I survived...O_o...er, thanks Mum. =) So I just took the pic with my camera phone...

Grr...why, oh why does English C/W have to be due tomorrow?! Plus why, oh why, do I have to meet up with my one detested study buddy to discuss the English poetry essay tomorrow during my second free period? *sighs*
