I know...it's quite fascinating, isn't it, how many coincidences there are? I've been missing the Poirot tune a lot so it was really quite lovely to hear it again in this episode.
I was initially not too keen to watch episodes without Hastings, Japp or Miss Lemon in them (probably because I've gotten used to them or something) but so far I'm surprisingly enjoying the 'Poirot alone' episodes, especially when you've got such a brilliant actor like Suchet playing him, it's hard *not* to enjoy them! Zoe Wanamaker's Ariadne Oliver is quite a joy to behold as well (I laughed so much when she was in 'Mrs McGinty's Dead' when she was complaining about her detective being made to undergo all these bizarre changes in a stage adaptation of her book).
Yes, and I'm so looking forward to 'The Big Four' though I'm not all that certain that they'll allow two fellows in their sixties running around Europe and escaping the clutches of the Big Four though I'd love to see Suchet and Fraser having a go at it nonetheless!
